My work is about our journeys through life. I began with an autobiographical adventure into evaluating my own past and how it has influenced my present situation, identity and consciousness. Through this process I finally came to the point of accepting that the past is within me, yet I am not the past; hence encouraging me to let go of my attachment to what has passed. Furthermore, if all these images are not me, then what is?

Having exhausted my past so much by analysing and questioning everything about it, I have come to the point of looking at the world from a different perspective. I have noticed recently that the loneliness I felt on my personal journey even when surrounded by many people, other people are feeling on theirs. The isolation of individuals on their solitary but collective journeys has suddenly dawned on me as really sad aspect of life.

I hope this perspective in my pictures reflects reality, where people are being carried along in their bodies, not knowing who the owner is. My photos attempt to help people face themselves and urge everyone to enquire deeply into their true nature and identity as it is this lost connection with our inner selves that I am realising is the root of all our underlying sadness... and the start of a whole new journey; the journey home.
