I have been working closely with the thought of family. I can spend hours looking through my mum’s box of old photos and albums. Her side of the family is large and very close, and I like that. After some events of last year I was inspired by conversations relatives where having about our family history and family tree. When I started this project I asked them for any information they had and discovered that they are just as interested in the family as I am, and that they are doing their own research. I have been collecting information and taking photographs of my own. The series of images that have come out of this are of slide projections of old photos into the new surroundings of my house. This is a work in progress and I hope to improve on my images and ideas, as well as continuing with the gathering of family information. | |
