Throughout my journey into photography there has been a constant theme of a story being created and a narrative being told. I started this year by constructing and staging scenes, exploring completely fabricated truths and invented realities, using actors and selected locations. The images arouse suspicion and questions of events passed, as they depict lonely and isolated figures suspended in a moment captured in time. Leading on, and contrasting from this work, I went on to photograph my family in a complete documentary fashion. This aimed to capture the story of my life and the ties I hold with the people most important to me, showing the relationships that exist between close family members and me.
