My work is inspired by iconic actresses in film. These films represent who women aspire to be. I have chosen two specific characters, one is strong and independent the other a victim. I wanted to characterize these two roles and show how audiences can recognize this. It represents how women in modern society still struggle to be accepted without having stereotype stigmas. Films have always portrayed characters with an unrealistic importance. Women are either housewives or eye candy. I want to highlight how we need more positive and respectful role models.
