At the turn of the academic year my life underwent a series of serious changes in which I was forced to think about the future and how I'd conducted the past. A four-year relationship broke down and I was thrown into a vast slipstream that was almost beyond my control. Revisiting the portrayal of dreams in MicheI Gondry's films, I began to obsess over his visual codes. I reacted to these changes in my life and eventually began to document the start of a new relationship that had once more started a cascade of events of its own.
