BETHAN MILLS

Photography is more than what it exists as now and in the future. It is its history. To dispose of its past means photography may lose its anchor in our souls, our trust and our delight in its magic. I am seeking, not to criticize digital photography, (after all it is part of photography now and in it's future) but to remind people of photography's fantastical past, its breadth of possibities and how it gained its privileged place in our society. It is my hope that while we embrace the future, we will do so remembering and drawing inspiration from a past, without which our world would be a very different place.
