It is too easy today to pick up a camera and shoot without considering what photography actually is, and the phenomenon that makes the capturing of images possible.
In an age where digital photography dominates and images are collected and dispensed with at a rapid rate I have returned to the very fundamentals of photography in order to address the phenomena of light directly. Using very basic means of capturing an image – a pinhole camera, essentially a box with a hole that contains a negative – I have focused on windows which themselves let light in illuminating the interior world.
