Rebecca Lupton As my work develops it has begun to split it self between two totally opposing poles: I am interested in the human psyche and I love to consider where human characteristics are born and whether we are conditioned to act in certain way, or where the idiosyncrasies that link the human race are inherent and uncontrollable. I enjoying picking up on the little traits we have and often concentrate my work on the absurdity of our own behavior. On the opposing side I also am fascinated by the photographic outcomes available in a studio environment and have a more commercial style that lends itself to portraiture. In these totally different interests of social documentary and formal portraiture I aim to create photography that is socially aware and executed with the practice of a studio photographer.
