It is onPhotograPhotography captures an instant in time - whether it be one exclusive moment or a contrived scene.  I relish the challenge of capturing that unique split second.

I aim to portray my opinions and feelings in my images and in doing so I have focused on issues which are important to me.

I enjoy working within various genres of photography.  I have worked with landscape photography, portraiture and self-portraiture and have experimented with mixing other media with my photographs. 
My recent practice focuses on working in the studio and on location with people.  My portraits of women with and without makeup focus on the idea of body image and how women feel about beauty and self representation.  I’ve also been documenting events such as ballroom dancing for the elderly which also link to the idea of beauty in people of all ages.

I hope that my photographs are a stimulating representation of my subject, whether it be landscape or portrait, and that I create an image that is meaningful and interesting enough for the viewer to contemplate.
